Adding a page in SIM+CMS is very easy. If you're familiar with Windows or if you've used any other content management systems before, you'll quickly discover that using the SIM+CMS system is not complicated at all. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to find out how to add a page...
Let's assume you're already logged in. From the home page illustrated below you'll want to click on the Content Pages icon on the Desktop.
OK, so you've landed on the Content Pages area. It should look like the screen below:
You'll notice a toolbar above the list of files and folders. The icon to click when you want to add a new page is... New Page.
| Hint: If you prefer to use the Quick Links menu, try right-clicking on the directory you want to create a sub-folder in. A context menu will appear with the option New Page near the top of the list. |
After you've clicked New Page you will be taken to a new screen, which should look like the one below:
| The Page Name is the file name of the page and the Page Title is the meta data that is used to display the title of the page at the top of page window. Using good meta data like page titles makes your pages Search Engine friendly, that means more people can find your content more easily. Choose a template for your page from the Template dropdown list.
